Elie Mendelson, DPM, FACFAS, CWSDr. Elie Mendelson was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. After high school and study abroad in Israel, he earned a Bachelor of Science in marketing from Touro College in Queens, New York. Following a brief marketing career on Long Island, he returned to college to pursue his love of medicine. After earning post-baccalaureate credits required to attend the New York College of Podiatric Medicine, he earned a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine.
Subsequently, Dr. Mendelson completed a three-year podiatric medical and surgical residency training program at Northwest Medical Center in Margate, Florida, with an added reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery component. Currently, Dr. Mendelson is tri-board certified in wound care, foot surgery, and podiatric medicine. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Wound Management with years of extensive wound care experience. In addition, he is a diplomate of the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and a diplomate of the American Board of Podiatric Medicine. On staff at West Boca Medical Center, Dr. Mendelson currently lives in Boca Raton with his wife and three children. A lifelong Pittsburgh sports fan, he enjoys spending time with his family and playing guitar. Accepting new and established patients, Dr. Mendelson is also available for same day and emergency visits. |
Michael J. Ball, DPM, FACFAOMDr. Michael Ball, originally from Dallas, Texas, graduated with a BS from the University of Texas and received his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia. He completed his surgical residency at Texas Tech University before opening his practice in South Florida.
Dr. Ball is on staff at West Boca Medical Center and previously its Outpatient Wound Care facility. Known as a caring and compassionate physician, Dr. Ball spends extra quality time listening to and talking with his patients, working together with them to treat all types of foot and leg problems, from sports injuries to wounds and diabetic complications.
Outside of the office Dr. Ball loves leading an active lifestyle, and can be found on the baseball or soccer field playing in competitive adult leagues in the area or in the pool doing long-distance swimming. An Eagle Scout himself, Dr. Ball has served on the medical staffs of the 2017 Boy Scout National Jamboree and the 2019 World Scout Jamboree which hosted 50,000 scouts from all over the globe. Dr. Ball and his wife are the parents of two adult children. Interestingly, his father, Dr. Myron Ball, was the longest-tenured podiatrist in the state of Texas. |
